Doctors

HelenDr Helen Sathish Kumar BSc MDBRL, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP, DipGUMed
Helen was born in Dudley and grew up in Hertfordshire.  She graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000 and completed GP training in Bridgend in 2005.

She has a special interest in sexual health medicine and is keen to develop further interests in diabetes, research and teaching.  She is married with one daughter and enjoys cooking, walking and period dramas.

KristenDr Kristen Widdowson MRCGP, DFSRH, LoC IUD/Imp
Kristen spent some of her childhood in Cheslyn Hay before her family moved to Bolton.  She studied medicine at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland and then worked in Greater Manchester before completing her training as a GP is South Birmingham.

In addition to general practice Kristen also teaches at Birmingham University.  She enjoys being a GP and is developing a special interest in women’s health.  Interests outside work include Arts and Crafts and she enjoys attending the annual Cambridge Folk Festival.

PraveenDr Praveen Gutta MBBS, MRCGP
Praveen lived in India until he was 26 yrs and had his medical graduation from NTR University of Health Sciences, India. He did a one year internship at Gandhi Hospital, India.

He started his career in the UK by doing Locum house officer work at Chorley District General Hospital in 2004 and thereafter continued at George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton. He developed interest in General Practice whilst doing his GP placement and decided to become a General Practitioner. He finished his GP training in 2009 at Stafford District Hospital. His area of special interest is Musculo-skeletal problems and he runs minor surgery and joint injection clinics.

WaseemDr Waseem Aslam MBBS
Waseem qualified as a doctor in 1986 from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore Pakistan. He has worked as a registrar and staff grade in medicine at Warrington Hospital Cheshire and had the opportunity of working in rheumatology, running diabetic clinics and also chairing multi disciplinary
team meetings in the care of the elderly.

Waseem opted to become a GP and has worked in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology. He completed his GP training in 1999 and completed a Diploma in dermatology from University of Cardiff in 2005. He has also done a course in acupuncture.

Practice Manager

Simon Greaves is responsible for the day to day running of the practice. He is generally available between 8am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday to help with any administration or non-medical aspects of your health treatment and to discuss any suggestions or complaints you may have.

District Nurses

We have a district nurse attached to our practice and if one of our patients requires a district nurse we are able to organise this quickly.

Health Visitors

We have daily access to Health Visitors. Children under 5 can be referred quickly if required.

Midwife

You will be referred to a midwife once your pregnancy has been confirmed. The Midwife will then make contact with you and arrange a visit.

Practice Nurses

We have three Practice Nurses. Chris Wright, Joanna Dixon and  Sue Lynch  They are  very experienced in Chronic Disease Management for conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Disease.  They are also responsible for our travel vaccinations, smear tests, baby immunisations and smoking cessation programme.

Healthcare Assistant

Amy Pitt is our Healthcare Assistant and her duties include conducting new patient health checks, checking blood pressures and performing ECGs (heart tracings).
